Welcome
I am always learning, always playing,
drawn to nature as well as primitive shapes
and forms of all kinds.
The incorporation of sticks, torn paper, string, and wire sometimes add another dimension to my work.
When the pieces come together it's always a thrill.
Every day is a new beginning.
I show my work in both individual and collective shows
around Seattle and Whidbey Island. My art can be
found on a rotating basis or on this site
throughout the year.

ARTIST STORY
Jan Lipetz
As a Northwest native, my background as Art Director
and Graphic Designer show up in my work.
I grew up making art with my mother, Lin Lipetz, a Seattle artist who founded an art school known as "The Factory of Visual Art" in the late 60's which was accredited to the University of Washington.
I took all the great classes at "The Factory" and continued on
to the U of W receiving a degree in Advertising. After many years
in the field, I have come back to the art I love.
Sharing my art is always a joy.

I am enjoying the wonder of my work on fabric. Some are watercolor paintings and others are collages. Also available in curtains, tablecloths, table runners, and duvets.
